Privacy Policy
How Belmond handles personal data. The short version: this site has no accounts, no forms, no analytics and no advertising, so almost the only personal data we ever hold is an email you chose to send us.

Who is responsible
Belmond operates the website at belmond.click (https://belmond.click) and is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us about anything on this page at info@belmond.click.
What this site does not do
Stating this first is more useful than a list of categories, because it is where most of a privacy policy’s risk normally lives:
- No accounts. There is nothing to register for and no login.
- No forms. There is no contact form, no newsletter signup, no comment section and no search box. Nothing on this site transmits anything you type. The two interactive elements — the odds converter and the age confirmation — both run entirely in your browser and send nothing anywhere.
- No cookies and no tracking identifiers. Belmond sets no cookies at all. The one thing this site stores on your device is described under age confirmation below: a single value in your browser’s local storage recording that you confirmed your age, so you are not asked on every page. It contains no identifier and is never transmitted.
- No analytics. We do not run Google Analytics or any other analytics or measurement product.
- No advertising and no tracking pixels. There are no ad networks, no conversion pixels, no remarketing tags and no social media trackers embedded in these pages.
- No third-party fonts or scripts loaded from other domains. The typeface and all code are served from this site.
- No sale or sharing of personal data. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Age confirmation
Because this site discusses gambling, it asks you to confirm you are of legal gambling age. If you confirm, your browser stores a single value — the string 1 under the key belmond:age-ok — in local storage on your device. That is the whole of it: no identifier, no timestamp, no profile, and nothing sent to us or to anyone else. It exists so that you are asked once rather than on every page.
It is strictly necessary for the purpose you asked for, so no consent banner is required for it under the UK and EU e-privacy rules. You can remove it at any time by clearing site data in your browser, and the site will simply ask again.
Emails you send us
If you write to info@belmond.click we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you put in the message.
- Why: to read your message, act on it — usually a correction to something we published — and reply to you.
- Legal basis (UK and EU GDPR): our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and in maintaining the accuracy of what we publish.
- How long: correspondence is kept for up to 24 months and then deleted, except where a message records a correction we have published, which we keep for as long as the corrected article is online so the record stands up.
- Who else sees it: our email provider, which processes the message in order to deliver and store it. Nobody else.
Please do not send us financial details, account credentials or documents relating to a gambling account. We have no use for them and no way to act on them.
Server logs
These pages are served as static files by a hosting and content-delivery provider. Like any web server, that provider automatically records technical information about requests — IP address, timestamp, the page requested, the referring page, and the browser’s user-agent string — for the purposes of delivering the site, maintaining security and preventing abuse. This is processed by the provider as our processor under their standard terms, is not linked by us to any individual, and is not used to build any profile of you.
Links to other sites
We link to regulators, support services, manufacturers and reference works. Once you follow a link you are on someone else’s site under their privacy policy, and we have no control over and no visibility of what they do. None of our outbound links is an affiliate or tracking link.
Your rights
If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to our processing of it, and to receive it in a portable form. Residents of certain other jurisdictions, including several US states, have comparable rights.
In practice, unless you have emailed us, we hold nothing about you. To exercise any right, write to info@belmond.click from the address you contacted us from and tell us what you want done. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.
If you are in the UK you may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. In the EEA, you may complain to your national supervisory authority.
Children
This site discusses gambling, is intended only for adults of legal gambling age, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.
International transfers
Our email and hosting providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where that involves a transfer from the UK or the EEA, it is made under the safeguards those providers maintain, such as standard contractual clauses.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Because the site has no mailing list, there is no way for us to notify you of a change — this page is the authoritative version.
